This month for Finally Friday in downtown Biloxi, Strange Bird Studio hosted the festivities. We had artists design outfits out of all recycled materials- A few artists modeled their own creations, but I opted to use a model. My model wore a dress made from old book pages, a torn polymesh screen, old coffee filters that were rinsed and dip dyed, and a black trash bag (it was used to block out light when I was working with some light sensitive emulsion. Don't worry, my model wasn't bathed in old trash juices. Haha.)
The other artists had some really fun dresses- full skirts made out of old grocery bags, one outfit made entirely of old movie theater posters, and a dress from a burlap sack.
We finished out the night with some great entertainment, including a belly dance performance by Chloe Harville.
